Other Things I’m Thinking About
Assalamu alaikum, just so you guys know I’m not crazy and that I’m actually thinking about other stuff….
I love old-time radio shows, most especially the drama/suspense/mystery/science fiction stuff. Don’t much like the comedy, as most of it is a bit dated and just seems, well, dull. I find the comercials also humorous/interesting. Things were, well, just so different back then.
In the same vein, I love audiobooks as well, Audible is one of my favorite sites. XM also has a channel called “Sonic Theatre” which is sorta like a newer “old-time radio”-esque channel that broadcasts books, dramas, and other programs like that.
Today was a beautiful day, I was standing outside after work waiting on my husband and just enjoying the sun and the breeze. It was like 80 or so, a perfect day for bike riding or running or walking or playing basketball or going fishing or swimming or just sitting outside.
And while on the subject of men/husbands, I just wanna say a big Alhamdulillah to the men in my life! For treating the women in their lives with dignity and respect and not how an artist or actor or anyone else tells us we should treat women (whether for real or ’cause it’s just entertainment). And Alhamdulillah to the women in my life, my mother, aunts, grandmtohers, cousins, teachers and friends, who were inspiring role models for me, who guided me.
And you know, I almost forgot about the Pennsylvania primary, that it was tomorrow (wish it’d have stayed that way, I’m all politics-ed out).
Hmmm, think that’s all for now. I have to take Chloe out, and then I think I’ll just go to bed. A rooster decided that he’d sit right outside of my bedroom window, with the window open, and crow as loud as he could! I shoulda recorded it.
Anyway, that’s all for now. Got some old radio shows to listen to.
